Storm Clean-Up: Additional Drop Site Added
Pierre, S.D. –The City of Pierre has added an addition drop site for trees and branches downed by last night’s storm.
Citizens can now utilize West Seneca Street between Central and Oneida Avenues near Brandt’s Pond Park for tree debris. People using Seneca Street for a drop site are asked to leave their debris along the curb on the south side of Seneca Street.
The Brandt’s Pond Park drop site is in addition to the drop sites established earlier today.
DROP SITES• City Baler Facility –East Park Street• Fire Station 3 –North Poplar Avenue near Jefferson Elementary School• Fire Station 4 –North Pierce Street near the Carriage House Apartments• Hillsview Golf Course Parking Lot• Pierre Sports Complex on South Buchanan Street• Steamboat Park Parking Lot on South Poplar Avenue
CURB-SIDE PICK-UPThose who don’t have the ability to transfer downed trees and branches to one of the established drop sites should leave their debris in the street next to the curb. Leaving debris near the sidewalk and on the boulevard slows the clean-up process. City crews will work to remove curb-side debris within seven days.
OTHER DEBRISOther debris, such as fences and metal products, should be taken to the city baling facility on East Park Street.
